Full time status (At least 12 credit hours per semester.)
Continuous enrollment (This means no taking semesters off.)
Maintain good standing (Requires a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A.)
Community Service (Work with the AzSEF office to engage in 20hrs/semester of science education outreach.)

In addition, the continuation of this award is dependent upon sufficient financial resources being available.

PROJECT REGISTRATION FOR SENIOR DIVISION. Please be sure that you see the notice that your entry has been recorded before moving on. If you do not see the notice, then we did not recieve your online application and you have NOT applied.

I. Deadlines

Project registration must be completed by Monday, February 26, 2008. All accompanying paperwork must be completely filled out and RECEIVED by Monday, March 2, 2008.

If prior approval was required for the project from the Scientific Review Committee or the Institutional Review Board (human subjects) students should have copies of all forms submitted to our office in his/her notebook. Do not call our office for copies.

We will re-review your project to make sure that you still comply with the SRC or IRB requirements prior to AzSEF 2008.
Entrance Fee . There will be no entrance fee in 2008.
Electricity . High School Participants ONLY. Electricity should be requested if it is a necessity to the project, e.g., you have designed a computer program and need to run it for Judging Day. You will need to have a 20-foot extension cord if you need electricity. We must be made aware of this requirement on your AzSEF Registration Form.
Papers . In addition to Project Display Board, our fair requires a Paper for the Senior Division. Bring the paper on Set-Up day. Please read the handout from the Society for Technical Communications (STC) for writing technical papers (the STC gives out substantial awards every year for papers).
Abstracts . In addition to a Project Display Board, our fair requires an Abstract for the Senior Division. An abstract is a short summary of the project. It should not be longer than one page in length and no more than 250 words. Guidelines for writing an abstract can be found at www.sciserv.org/isef/document/ Abstracts need to be submitted with the ISEF forms and project paperwork prior to the fair. Abstracts can be submitted by e-mail to sciencefairs@asu.edu. Your name must be included on the abstract if it is submitted electronically. Students who need prior approval from the IRB or SRC will receive an e-mail prior to the fair to submit an abstract electronically prior to the event.
